The Old Athol House Cemetery

The church and tree have long been gone. All that stands are some of the stones that were placed on loved ones' graves many years ago. The oldest stone dates 1791 and the newest one early 1900s. Some stones have since dissapeared and a Memorial monument now stands in their place.

The Caledonian Society of Restigouche put the history of the Cemetary together for the Memorial Service, held in 1972.

They have done a remarkable amount of work in and around this cemetary in restoring stones to as close as their original state as possible
